1. Ensure a healthy rich soil by working in loads of compost and organic material
2. Use certified organic fertiliser every 2-3 months specific to each crop, and feed weekly using an organic soluble plant food.
3. Companion planting practices help to deter harmful insects and attract the beneficial ones. Spray with organic insecticides only when and where necessary and know that not all insects are harmful.
4. Water plants early morning and make use of organic material as mulching to prevent moisture loss and reduce diseases.
